Our story

Built in 1939 by the Mowry family and nestled in one of Scottsdale’s most historic blocks, The House Brasserie is located is one of Old Town Scottsdale’s oldest standing residence. Aside from the add-on to our kitchen (completed in spring of 2014), the exterior of the house is the original construction.

Mr. and Mrs. Mowry lived in the House until they both passed, Mrs. Mowry surviving her husband until the early 2000s. Mrs. Mowry was famous in the community for her vibrant rose bushes and to commemorate the Mowry’s contribution to the town, the staff of the Hotel Valley Ho transplanted her best rose bush onto their property, where it can still be seen today.

Today The House opens it doors and welcomes guests from all over to experience the old world charm and hospitality of days past.
